Teamplay tournaments rules

Here is set of rules for teamplay tournaments!

Members of ConsoleHockey.Net

  • All players who want to take part in any of the tournaments of this site will need to register in the database. A player who wants to take part on both Xbox and PS3 will have to register a second account. There is no need to register again if the player changes club.
  • A player must register himself so he will have unique IP adress that will be in website logs. If players are brothers or play with same console they must report TGMA or website administration right after registration to avoid IP address conflicts and future problems with team invitations. 1 player = 1 account (unless you play on both consoles). If a player register a secondary account or already did register a secondary account, TGMA has the right to deactivate both accounts and any team that used this player can be banned from ConsoleHockey tournaments. If there is a special situation interfering with these rules, please contact TGMA.

If a player register on website or register in team it also means that he has accepted this "All tournament rules" and promise not to argue with TGMA about rules and decisions!

Team Registration

  • Any registered player has the right to apply for a team registration. The application is examined by TGMA (The General Manager Association). If the application passes the applying Player becomes the captain of the Team. Before the start of the tournament the Captain should appoint two assistants.
  • If team changes name but its roster mostly will be the same - there is no need to register new team. Just report TGMA about name change and TGMA will update it. The history of the team will not be deleted.

If team register on website or register in tournament it also means that team has accepted this "All tournament rules" and promise not to argue with TGMA about rules and decisions! Arguing with TGMA can lead to a player ban.

Team recruitment

  • Team captain is able to send an invitation to a player. In order to join the club the player should accept the invitation. After this TGMA examines players’ data. If the players’ data matches the demands of the site and the tournament the player is added to roster.
  • It team send invite to a player with 2nd account or fake account then team will be automatically banned from tournaments. It does not matter will this player play for a team or not.

Tournaments carrying out rules

  • The rules of every specific tournament are stipulated in the appendix – official rules of specific tournament. All situations that are not written in rules are decided by TGMA and website administration. Players and teams MUST ACCEPT IT without comments or discussion even if they think decision is unfair.

Date and time:

  • EHL gaming days by default are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday (3 game days, 2 games each = 6 games per week). Every gameday team play head to head games (2 games a day).
  • Default game start time is: 19:00 GMT, 20:00 German/Swedish time, 21:00 Finnish time, 23:00 Moscow time. In the schedule time is represented in GMT.
  • If a team cannot play on default game time the team GM must contact the other team and suggest another time. This has to be done before 17:00 GMT on the game day. The GM must use "Suggest time" option to contact the other team, these are the only proofs TGMA will use if there is a problem. After the teams has come to a conclusion, the time that they agreed to play is shown in schedule for all players and users. No suggested times = games start on default time.
  • After the team captains agree on the game time a team cannot be more than 15 minutes late to a game. If the games does not start within 15 minutes after agreed time, the teams can report to TGMA what team came late. According to report (proved with screenshots) TGMA checks "suggest time" logs on website and can give 0-3 technical loss in BOTH games to the team that came late.
  • If teams cannot come to an agreement about the game time and suggested time difference is not more than 30 minutes from default time, suggested later time has priority. For example if one team wants to play 19:30 GMT and the other team wants to play 20:00 GMT then 20:00 GMT time has priority. Team with an earlier suggested time must wait for their opponent. But all EHL games cannot start later then 30 minutes after default gametime without special agreement between teams.
  • If teams cannot come to an agreement about game time and suggested time difference is more than 30 minutes from default time teams must agree another game date and report TGMA about new date of games. They must agree to a gametime 2 hours before default gametime!
  • If a team cannot play on the scheduled day they must post it in "Suggest time" option not later than 2 hours before default game time start about it. If they know beforehand that they cannot play on the schedule gametime they must notify the other team as soon as possible about it using "Suggest time" option.
  • If one of the teams does not show activity on gameday or dont post any message in "Suggest time" option - this team can get a 0-3 technical loss.
  • Suggest time option is the ONLY OFFICIAL way of discussion game time. And TGMA decides ONLY based on "Suggest time" option.
  • Break between games cannot be more than 15 minutes.

Together they decide on how to solve the situation without any involvement of TGMA. If however the other team wish not to restart the game, the game continues as normal.
  • If a team suspects the other team of disconnecting on purpose, their GM should immediately contact a member of TGMA and report. A team are under no circumstances allowed to accuse the other team of disconnecting on purpose.
  • If a player is disconnected within the first minute of a game, any team is allowed to pause the game and quit. If a team has scored within the first minute, game continues as normal.

  • Avoid pausing the game unless absolutely necessary.
  • Teams must wait until first faceoff to pause the game. No pausing allowed when players are entering the ice (to minimize amount of games not synching).
  • If a team is caught pausing the game before the first faceoff, please report to TGMA for further review.
  • Teams are not allowed to pause the game after a goal. Exception is last 2 minutes in 3rd period. 2 pauses are allowed for 1 team. If a team is caught pausing the game after a goal, please report to TGMA for further review.

  • If a player dives into the goalie when the goalie has the puck covered and manages to break the puck loose, this player will receive a two-game ban. If there is a goal on the play or the seconds after, that goal will not be counted into the stats. The player is allowed to play any game until TGMA has informed the player that he is banned. TGMA can ask for video evidence of this. Video evidence has to be in the hands of TGMA maximum 24 hours after the incident occured. Video evidence is the only way TGMA can review a play, a confession by the player is not considered as proof.
