Updating the rules
Friday, 09 December 2011 21:21

TGMA is aware of the fact that the rules are not as perfect as they could be. It's very understandable that if a person reads the rules he expect them to be followed. There have been cases where teams have not followed what the rules suggest but still TGMA did not act. There have also been situations where TGMA has followed the rules and when you compare that to other cases where TGMA did not step in according to the rules it seems unfair. This is something that TGMA is absolutely aware of, that's why we know want to issue a "rules clean up".

TGMA consists of two people right now, domenichelly and pulverapa. We are not unaware of that people are unhappy with a few things this year. In fact, this is something we encourage. The more people care, the better community we will have. There's one basic thing that people has brought to the surface - everybody has to know wether a rule is a rule or not. As it is now, some of the rules tend to be more of "guide lines". TGMA has only one purpose, to serve the community. European tournaments exists for one reason - to make the NHL experience more fun. If the community wants a change, TGMA will listen to the community. Without a community - there are no European tournaments.

This is why we today issue a "rules update" call out, everybody who cares about this community and want's to play tournaments within the European community has a chance to make themselves heard and change the community. We will create a thread on the forums where the rules can be discussed. We will also create a chat on skype where we can discuss rules. Just add "pulverapan" or "domenichelly" and get an invite to the chat. The big thing right now is... Should we remake the rules and follow them 100% in the future, or should we consider the rules more of "guide lines" and TGMA takes care of a situation when it occurs or should we make a mix of these two things? This is our chance to make the community better. EHL is the biggest thing around in the NHL community, that's why it is also the most important thing around here.
