Main NHL 11 tournament is announced on Consolehockey Network for Playstation 3.

Registration dates: 1st february - 10th february (23:59 GMT)

Tournament dates:  16th february - 1st of may, including

Group stage: 16th february - 1st of april

Playoffs: 4th of april - 1st of may

Tournament formula:

Group stage: 33 teams will be seeded by TGMA in 2 groups. 1-8 placed teams from each group will go to ELITE playoffs, 9-16 placed teams will go to MINOR playoffs. If some teams quit tournament before end of gourp stage, then higher seeded team in minor playoffs will pass to next rounds without playong games.

Playoffs: ELITE playoffs: Best of 7 games (Till 4 wins). MINOR playoffs: Best of 5 games (Till 3 wins)

Group stage system:

Every team in group A plays with every team in their group (15 gamedays = 30 games)

Every team in group B plays with every team in their group (15 gamedays = 30 games).

If teams have equal points:

1. More regulation time wins

2. Better puck difference

3. More goals scored

Playoff seeding:

Main rule. Highest team always play with lowest team (as in NHL).

Teams are seeded according to common tournament table of 2 combined groups by points.

Point system on group stage (as in NHL):

Win in regulation time - 2 points

Win in overtime - 2 points

Lost in overtime - 1 point

Lost in regulation - 0 points

Roster restrictions:

- 8 players in roster minimum

- Maximum 1 North American player on ice (cannot be a captain)

Disconnection issue:

In group stage - if goalie disconnects/quits team will be banned by 6 points after each 4th disconnect/quit.

In playoffs - will be decided later
