Few people know that the Russian EASHL community is probably the biggest in Europe. For a central European it is impossible to follow their community. It's a different language, different culture and more or less a different game. I want to talk about the culture of the Russian players. In each tournament we see alot of Russian teams. Most of the time they lose. There are some Russian teams that can compete but they will never reach the top position in Europe. We also see alot of central European teams. Some are skilled, some are not as skilled. I have never heard of a Russian team quitting EHL. They continue to play. No matter what. Time change? No problem. Lose alot of games? No problem. Playoffs out of reach half way into the tournament? No problem. On the contrary we see team after team from central Europe quitting the tournament. There is no honor. My deepest respect to the players of Russian Rockets DTM, Russian Royal League, Frostbolt, HC Bidon, Traktor, Nearbird Fighters and especially to SKA from Neva. |
