We are glad to represent Consolehockey.net – Russian project, conducting cyber hockey tournaments with European teams and players. The tournaments are made on the basis of EA NHL in EASHL team play mode on contemporary consoles Playstation 3 and Xbox360. Participation in the tournaments is absolutely free as for the teams so for the players.

If you already played team mode games in EASHL league, you should already have highly evaluated the great opportunity to play 6 on 6 games without computer players. We play this game and love it, but of course we understand that there are some imperfections in the usual EASHL games and in the team play lobby which is connected with the fact that in EASHL:

• a lot of short-lived teams
• a big possibility to meet a team with different quantity of real players in the roster
• the possibility to meet a team consisting fully or partially of players from another continent which causes bad game connection (for example in a game of America against Europe)
• irresponsible attitude of some players and teams to the games (quits, unfair play)
• imperfect team rating system where each team has different number of finished games, different approach to the opponent choice, quantity of players in the team etc.

All the above mentioned reasons forced us to realize the idea of opening a portal for the European players, allowing the creation of all kinds of tournaments between teams with strict rules and standards which brought the interest to the team play to a new level. We investigated most important aspects of interest of the players to this game mode and put them into action. These wishes are rather simple: play a lot, play with good connection (Europe against Europe), play with equal full rosters (only 6 on 6 games), play according to the tournament and play-off schedule and find out the final winner, real statistics of field players and communicate with the people participating in the tournaments.

Last year Consolehockey.net already became a portal which united the strongest European teams and offered really working rules and formulas of joined European tournaments.

We collected a common players and teams database to create on its basis tournament tables, games schedules, we lead total statistics (both personal and team), all technical and disputable questions are solved promptly, and as a result we have final winners which receive virtual prizes. Conduction of games, results posting and other nuances are strictly regulated.

We successfully run 2009-2010 season (on the basis of EA NHL 2010) and are preparing for the new season taking into consideration the experience of the previous tournaments. We expect to have more players and teams.

Our success of creating the cyber hockey movement was not born out of nothing. Consolehockey.net is a logical successor of an analogue national Russian tournament on the basis of Russian Console Hockey League (www.RCHL.ru). We have a respectable history of creating a big number of projects for the last 10 years on the basis of www.PKHL.ru web-site zone including yearly offline Russian Championships.

What do you need to do this?

• EA NHL game (NHL 11)
• Your PSN or Xbox Live account and your created player for EASHL.
•  If you already are a member of an EASHL team which wants to participate in the tournaments of Consolehockey.net, all players of the team should register in the database and the captain should register the team. After this you should apply for joining a tournament.
• If you are an independent player of the team mode you should also register on the portal as a "free agent" and start looking for a place in an existing team according to the mechanisms offered by the portal.
